Scott Young's sets move between dub-heavy house, broken techno and musique concrรจte, keeping the floor moving while pulling the room somewhere stranger. Hong Kong-born and Hong Kong-based, he makes club music about the city after dark: neon, humidity, failing hard drives. His records on Born Free, Discos Capablanca and OOH-Sounds were played by Ben UFO, Trevor Jackson, Optimo and Lena Willikens, with regular NTS support. He contributed vocals to Samo DJ's 'LKF' (Kicked Out Of Everywhere, The Trilogy Tapes, 2016), whose acoustic version appeared on Samo DJ's CE Tape 2018 for Cav Empt. He runs the tape label Less Loss and builds Acetate, mastering software tuned by what he hears in the booth.
He also releases as Satin Doll (the machine-learning album A Model Within, SUPERPANG, 2023), Dopamine Rider (Personal FX, Discos Capablanca, December 2017) and Skully (Dubplate, with Taymour, diy, 2025). Not affiliated with any other artist of similar name.
